Our hiring process is designed to ensure the safety of our clients, protect the integrity of our company, and create long-term opportunities for dedicated painting professionals. Hiring Process

Our recruitment process consists of two stages and includes a comprehensive review of qualifications, references, and background verification.

Stage One: Application & Screening

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) years of professional painting experience (verifiable)
  • Completion of the 3 Kings Painting Services Employment Application
  • Submission of two (2) professional work references
  • Submission of one (1) personal character reference
  • Valid government-issued identification
  • Consent to a professional background and security screening

Application Review

Once your application has been submitted, our Human Resources Department will review your information and contact you to verify qualifications and gather any additional details required to complete your profile.

Reference checks and background screening are conducted to verify identity, employment history, professionalism, and suitability for client-facing work environments.
The screening process typically requires approximately ten (10) business days.


Applicants who successfully complete Stage One will proceed to Stage Two.

Stage Two: Employment Offer & Hiring

Successful Applicants receive the following:

Qualified:

  • Official Employment Offer
  • Employee Agreement and Contract Documentation
  • Tax Deduction and Payroll Documentation Package
  • Employee Welcome Kit
  • Placement on the Active Job Dispatch Roster

Upon completion of all hireling requirements, painters become eligible for project assignments and work dispatch opportunities.


Probationary Period

At 3 Kings Painting Services, we understand that great employees are the backbone of every successful company. Our goal is not simply to hire workers—we strive to build lasting professional relationships with skilled trades people who share our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

All newly hired “Agent Painters” are subject to a ninety (90) day probationary period beginning on the date their employment documentation and Worker Agreement have been finalized.

This evaluation period allows both the company and employee to ensure a strong professional fit.


Performance Evaluation Timeline

Days 1–14 Initial Assessment

During this period, management evaluates:
• Workplace safety awareness
• Punctuality and reliability
• Compliance with company procedures
• Preparation techniques
• Brush and roller proficiency
• Professional attitude

Days 15–30 PREFORMANCE REVIEW

Evaluation focuses on:
• Production efficiency
• Quality of workmanship
• Cutting and finishing skills
• Independence and initiative
• Job-site professionalism
• Customer and supervisor feedback

aLMOST THERE– sELF Assessment
Days 60–90 fINAL rEVIEW

A comprehensive performance evaluation is conducted to assess:
• Overall workmanship
• Productivity and consistency
• Teamwork and communication
• Ability to work independently
• Reliability and professionalism

Successful completion results in removal of probationary status and advancement to Permanent Team Member status. Welcome, you’ve made the list!


Compensation & Advancement

During Probation
• Starting Wage: $22.00 per hour
• Bi-weekly payroll

Upon Successful Completion of Probation
• Wage Increase to $25.00 per hour
• Continued bi-weekly payroll
• Eligibility for future performance-based advancement opportunities
